Look at Peoria's history. We have been, essentially, a blue-collar working class community. Not in every way, but the working class tradition runs deep here. We would suggest, as has the Mayor, that most Council members have their roots somewhere (some buried more than others) in that tradition. Maybe that's why everything the Council seems to touch these days turns to controversy.
