A Heightened State of .....
"Stability is a false God, and on September 11 we paid dearly for worshipping it above all others," said Ralph Peters in a recent Wall Street Journal article. I had to stop and think about that statement, as we’ve being encouraged to "get back to normal, go back to daily routines ... and return to stability" in our lives following that life-changing day—September 11, 2001.

Sheila Ogilvie, Kingman Primary School
It was pure chance Sheila Ogilvie, this year’s recipient of the District 150 Superintendent’s Award, went into teaching at all. Living in Chicago, newly divorced with two small children and no marketable skills, she moved back to her native Peoria and began taking classes at Illinois Central College. One was an education class.
