Goodwill of Central Illinois recently unveiled an updated tribute to its Wing of Hope namesake, Thomas Hope. Goodwill’s General Wayne A. Downing Home for Veterans saw the wing completed in 2017 with support from Steve Hope, Thomas’s brother. The Wing of Hope added five new bedrooms, an expanded laundry room, a game room and storm shelter.
“We want this tribute to stand the test of time and with this new branding, we believe it will,” says Goodwill’s president and CEO Don Johnson. “It not only honors Thomas Hope, but it honors all of our veterans. We see the turmoil in our world and have our veterans to thank for our freedom and way of life.”
The design was created by Goodwill’s MarCom department and printed by Honegger Sign Company. For more information, visit goodwillpeo.org. PM
