April Update from Peoria Magazines

All of us are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Any semblance of a normal routine at home, at work or socially has been thoroughly disrupted. We’ve experienced chaos before—wars, death, the Great Recession, 9/11—but this crisis feels different: larger, more uncertain, more confusing and likely to be longer lasting.

We are grateful to our healthcare workers and other essential employees who are keeping the world running, as well as the many organizations who are helping individuals and businesses survive: local and state governments, our financial institutions, Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, area chambers of commerce, etc. We also thank our sponsors, advertisers and contributors who continue to support us during this challenging time. Thank you!

April issue carryoutComplimentary Copies
Like many of you, most of our team has pivoted to working remotely. However, we are offering complimentary copies of the latest issue outside our office doors during limited hours (weekdays, 9am to 12pm), as most of our distribution locations are closed. We are located at 4736 N. University St. (the building in front of Schnuck’s).

New Restaurant Partnerships
We have also partnered with four local restaurants to distribute our magazines with carryout orders! Starting today (April 8), Hearth and Edge will package a copy of the April 2020 issue with your carryout order, and Rhythm Kitchen and One World Cafe will begin doing the same this weekend. Please call in your order and ask for a copy of Peoria Magazine!

Digital Resources
We have a robust website featuring native articles, a digital magazine (complete replica of the print magazine—here’s the April issue, for example) and other content. We are keeping our online calendar updated with virtual events, as well as rescheduled events later in the year. We also send an email newsletter full of news updates to more than 4,500 subscribers each week—click here to sign up.

Publishing As Scheduled
As we look to the future, our editorial and events will necessarily shift and evolve. While the lead time required for print makes adjustments more challenging, we continue to publish as scheduled—and we remain focused on celebrating the best Greater Peoria has to offer.

Tell Us Your Stories!
Please email us, comment on our social media posts, and keep us posted on your latest developments. Do you have a story to tell, or know someone who does? We are actively seeking ideas for future articles and individuals/organizations willing to share their perspective on these tough times… and what lies ahead. Send your suggestions to info@peoriamagazines.com. We appreciate hearing from you. Additional details will be coming soon... stay tuned!

Your Support Is Essential
Finally, please remember that keeping our doors open depends on your support. Advertise your business, subscribe to the magazine, and ask your friends to do the same!

Most importantly, stay safe and well! PS
