Since its founding in 2019, CW Financial & Management Group has become a force in providing administrative consulting services, including financial, auditing, healthcare administration and employee assistance programs. As a service-disabled veteran with more than 20 years of experience in these areas, company founder and CEO Craig Williams quickly established a relationship with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), earning eight VA contracts in the firm’s first eight months of existence. More recently, CW is helping the VA modernize its business policies and procedures and improve healthcare delivery to U.S. veterans through the Integrated Healthcare Transformation initiative. CW Financial & Management Group

During last year’s pandemic-related shutdown, Williams sought opportunities to assist efforts in combating COVID-19, earning a contract related to the alternate care facility in Blue Island, Illinois, which provided relief to Chicago-area emergency rooms from the high volume of COVID-19 patients. CW has since continued its work with the State of Illinois, earning a contract with the Illinois Tollway; consulting with the Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology to increase participation in contracts by businesses owned by minorities, women and persons with disabilities; and providing financial reviews for grantees of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority. CW was also awarded contracts for a wastewater treatment plant study and cost analysis in New York and employee assistance program services in support of medical centers in Florida and South Carolina.

Williams approached the Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at Bradley University in early 2020 for assistance winning local, state and federal contracts—an objective that has been achieved many times over. “Government contracting is such a competitive sector,” he explains. “PTAC was instrumental in showing me where to look for opportunities and how to develop competitive proposals in order to win contracts. Because of PTAC, I have been provided valuable resources at no cost that helped me remain competitive in this sector.” PM
