The 2021 Peoria Historical Calendar features vintage photos of local restaurants and eateries found over the years in Peoria—“sure to bring back fond and mouthwatering memories for many residents and visitors,” notes Emily Watson, director of marketing and public relations for CityLink, which produces the annual calendar. Besides highlighting Jumer’s Castle Lodge on its cover, the calendar features beloved and bygone establishments such as Hunt’s Family Restaurant, Vonachen’s Old Place and Bishop’s Buffet.
The calendar is available for a $5 suggested donation at the CityLink Administrative Office (2105 NE Jefferson, open M-F 8am to 5pm), and at the CityLink Transit Center (407 SW Adams) when the lobby re-opens to the public. All proceeds will be donated to the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service. PM
