The Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (Discover Peoria) recently announced the Illinois Office of Tourism has named four local businesses, or “Makers,” to the Illinois Made program. The honorees include Mackinaw Valley Vineyard, Riley’s Vegan Sweets & Eats, The Nut House and Trefzger’s Bakery.

“This recognition is an incredible honor for our local businesses, yet expresses only a token of our overall appreciation for what they bring to our communities all year long,” says J.D. Dalfonso, president/CEO of Discover Peoria. “Supporting them and showing off what makes our region so special further highlights why people should visit the communities of Greater Peoria.”

In total, 28 businesses were inducted in the 2021 Illinois Made program. The program launched in 2016 to help residents and visitors discover the people, products and authentic experiences created by one-of-a-kind small businesses in every region of the state. enjoyillinois.com/illinois-made PM
