With the importance of skilled trades top of mind among workforce issues, a new study finds our own River City at the top of the list for carpentry. According to AdvisorSmith, a leading business insurance advisor, Peoria was the No. 1 medium-sized city for carpenters—based on income, cost of living and available jobs—and ranked seventh among all 395 U.S. cities in the study.
