Brian “Fox” Ellis is a storyteller, author, performer and educator from Peoria. To celebrate the 200th birthday of Abraham Lincoln, he has developed four programs that look at Lincoln's life from different perspectives. We spoke with Fox just as he was about to kick off two solid months of performances.
Fox steps into the shoes of Austin Gullaher, Lincoln's childhood friend; Billy Herndon, Lincoln's law partner; Mathias Stritt, a Civil War veteran from Peoria; and Walt Whitman, the famed poet and mutual admirer of Lincoln.
