As strategy consultant at Caterpillar Inc., Kristal Roop performs studies focused on sales growth, effectiveness and profitability improvement, collaborating with employees at all levels of the company and its dealer organizations, and using data analysis to develop strategies and organizational capabilities to accelerate profitable growth.
From 2015 to 2018, she led six dealer growth and profitability studies throughout the U.S., gaining trust and buy-in from dealer executive teams through her thoughtful analysis and authentic presentations. In 2015, she was a key participant on a confidential merger-and-acquisition project, providing financial and market insight to executive leadership. In 2008, she helped open the Caterpillar Financial Treasury Center in Luxembourg, working to ensure its smooth integration into CAT Financial’s other treasury processes. She also led the deployment of an online treasury portal to 17 European countries while living abroad.
Active with the Junior League of Peoria, Roop has served in leadership since her first active year, chairing the Ballance-Herschel House Committee and then sitting on the board of directors, serving as treasurer and then as a director at large. She has been a formal mentor for two newly active members and most recently chaired the Nominating Committee.
As a grant reviewer for the Heart of Illinois United Way, Roop reviews grant applications and proposals to ensure they are within fund allocation guidelines. For two years, she has sat on the Adopt-A-School Advisory Board for Peoria Public Schools Foundation, focused on establishing metrics reporting to ensure the schools and their partners are satisfied with the partnership and that students benefit as well.
Active with the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois, she has served on the Development Committee for three years and on the Advisory Board for three years, most recently chairing the Marketing Committee. In 2018, she was elected vice chair of the organization. A certified Six-Sigma Green Belt, she has completed her MBA and graduated from both the Community Leadership School and the United Way’s BoardServe program.
