Eric W. Martin serves as general manager at Advanced Technology Services, where he oversees the Caterpillar business, including 600 employees and $65 million in revenue. He started his career at ATS as a Six Sigma Black Belt and was soon promoted to site manager, managing two customer locations and more than $7 million in revenue. As the youngest site manager at that time, he was selected to help establish operations in the United Kingdom, serving as business manager over several manufacturing plants. He then returned to the United States, where he was promoted to director of operations over the Industrial Parts & Services Division before taking on his current role.
In his volunteer work, Martin has shown a passion for helping children to reach their potential and develop self-esteem and confidence. He serves as a classroom volunteer and board member for Junior Achievement of Central Illinois, sits on the Alumni Council for Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, and participates in United Way activities through ATS. He has twice served as a Big Brother for Heart of Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters and has given his time to organizations including Midwest Food Bank, Heart of Illinois United Way, Crittenton Centers, The Center for Prevention of Abuse, Salvation Army Child Care Center and the American Red Cross.
In addition to his Six Sigma Black Belt certification, Martin holds Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) and Safety Trained Supervisory (STS) certifications. He is a graduate of the Achievers Program at Bell Leadership Institute and is currently enrolled in the ATS Senior Leadership Accelerated program. He was also selected to attend the prestigious Stanford EMBA program.
Martin is the proud father of a young daughter and devoted husband to his wife, a third-grade teacher. In his free time, he loves sports and competition, traveling around the world, and dogs—especially his boxer, Penny Lane. iBi
