Jeremy R. Knepp is Senior Vice President and Commercial Lending Manager at Morton Community Bank, where he has provided high-quality banking services to businesses and clients for 13 years. Having quickly grown to become a talented lending officer, he now manages the Morton and Bloomington-Normal markets, supervising and coaching other lenders.
As a member of the bank’s Executive Loan Committee, Knepp helps to make important decisions relating to the approval of loans. He was selected to serve as secretary of Hometown Community Bancorp, Inc., the bank’s holding company, entrusted with the highest levels of confidentiality concerning its business strategy, opportunities and challenges. He also serves the bank outside of general leadership responsibilities through his participation on the Deposit Pricing Committee, as well as heading portions of the Management Continuity Briefings Program for the transfer of management knowledge to internal employee leaders.
Knepp is particularly dedicated to his hometown of Roanoke, where he is active in his church, assisting with Apostolic Christian HarvestCall projects, youth ministry programs and Sunday school. He also coaches youth sports, serves as Roanoke township supervisor, and has volunteered at the Roanoke Jumbo Days Festival. In addition, he is active in the community where he works, volunteering at the Morton Pumpkin Festival and serving as board president of We Care, Inc. and treasurer for the Rotary Club of Morton.
Having grown up with a passion for farming, Knepp soon developed a desire to follow in his father’s footsteps in the banking profession. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from Illinois State University, and he completed the Community Bankers Association of Illinois’ Community Bankers School with honors in 2013. Described as an individual of the highest integrity and character, Knepp has demonstrated excellence in his career and dedication to the communities in which he lives and works.
