As a senior partner with Legacy Investment Services, Nicholas Knapp provides financial planning solutions for clients who seek a balanced approach to investing for retirement, education, income or capital management. His success as one of the top investment advisors in the nation led him to this leadership role with the firm, where he is also involved in strategic corporate development.
Knapp was recently recognized by Woodbury Financial Services for his accomplishments in production and ethics, with the highest award given to just 10 of nearly 2,000 advisors nationwide.
In addition to his professional success, Knapp is well known in the community for his athletic achievements. In high school, he was named one of the country’s best basketball players—in addition to being named valedictorian. He went on to play in college, where he continued to be recognized for his achievements on and off the court.
Knapp has dedicated countless hours to charitable organizations, including the Peoria Area Track & Field Club, which he serves as a founding member, and the CHOICES program, which helps inner-city youth learn valuable life skills. He is director of the Anthony Arnold Charity Softball Tournament and Golf Outing, raising money for the Anthony Arnold Scholarship Fund, which helps East Peoria High School graduates further their education at Illinois Central College and Illinois State University. He is also a loyal supporter of the Illinois Federation of Teachers and American Cancer Society.
With Knapp’s assistance, Legacy Investment Services has served as the title sponsor of the Main Street Mile for the past three years. Half of the event’s proceeds goes to the ELITE Youth Outreach Program, and half goes to the Peoria Area Track & Field Club. Knapp’s commitment to this event has spurred hundreds of donations of shoes to less-fortunate youth in the community.
Knapp recently played a role in a children’s fashion show, raising awareness and money for the Children’s Home. He also works closely with Children’s Hospital of Illinois, sponsoring programs with the organization throughout the year. iBi
