As one of three partners at WestPoint Financial Group, Casey Johnson is responsible for growing its advisor team to secure the financial futures of families in central Illinois. He helps clients with strategies to achieve their personal financial goals, and is responsible for the recruitment, training and development of new associate advisors.
Johnson’s passion for Peoria is displayed in his involvement in a range of community organizations, as well as his dedication to the groups with which he volunteers. He has been involved with the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School since 2009, and is now its chairman. It was this commitment that spurred him to become more involved in the local community.
Heavily involved with Peoria Promise, Johnson currently serves as secretary and co-chair of the Sponsorship Committee for the organization’s Young Advisor Team. He is responsible for developing a fundraising strategy and securing donations for the second annual Play for the Promise event, to be held in the spring of 2012.
Johnson is an active member of the Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria, and currently serves as co-chair of its Health and Fitness Committee, responsible for planning healthy lifestyle events for its members. He is also a member of Children’s Hospital of Illinois HOPE, a newly organized group working to plan a fundraiser for the hospital.
As a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, Johnson serves as a liaison with member companies, attending ribbon cuttings to welcome new businesses and congratulating others on the opening of new locations and other milestones. He is also a member of the Chamber's Thanksgiving Day Luncheon Committee.
Johnson has previously served on the board of directors for Peoria Ballet, helping to restructure its fiscal budget and lay the strategic groundwork for moving the organization forward. He was one of about 60 business and community leaders to participate in the development of a strategic vision for the City of Peoria. iBi
