The true strength of the Peoria-area economy lies within each and every one of our local businesses. From Fortune 100 companies to home-based businesses, every business can be successful in central Illinois. At the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, we work hard to bring value to our members, and one of the things we do is help to increase their visibility.
One of the best programs we have to do that is the annual Peoria Area Business Showcase, which will be held on April 1st this year at the Peoria Civic Center. This is the largest business trade show in downstate Illinois. Hundreds of Chamber members will be on hand to display their products and services to the thousands of event attendees.
The Peoria Area Business Showcase is so much more than just a trade show. After a day of setting up on the 31st, the Showcase begins with a Business After Hours celebration in the Verizon Café and Great Hall. You will have the opportunity to network with vendors and other Chamber members and learn about their products and services. The only cost to attend the Business After Hours is a business card, but you will want to bring more than one to take advantage of all the networking opportunities that will be available!
On April 1st, Business Showcase exhibitors and hundreds of other business people will be treated to the Power Breakfast with renowned speaker Scott McKain, vice president of Obsidian Enterprises and an expert on developing enhanced customer loyalty and profitability. This energizing presentation is sure to get you fired up for a day of meeting new prospects, visiting with existing clients, increasing revenue potential for your company and discovering new ways to enhance your company’s productivity.
Of course, don’t miss the Showcase itself. After a re-branding last year, the event is hotter than ever, attracting over 3,000 visitors. All attendees with a business card are welcome! I hope you will all come to see the real strength in our economy, on display at the annual Peoria Area Business Showcase on April 1st!
The Heartland Partnership is moving!
During the month of April, the Heartland Partnership and its family of companies, which include the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Council for Central Illinois, TransPORT and others will be moving from our current location to the riverfront. The renovations of the old Damon’s restaurant location will be complete, and will soon be the new home of the Heartland Partnership. Our phone numbers won’t change, but be sure to update our address.
As the premier organization for regional growth and development, a location on the riverfront will enhance not only the Heartland Partnership, but also the region’s commitment to continued growth. We hope you will visit the new office and keep an eye on the corner of Main and Water for many great things to come! IBI
