Not only is Peoria Players Theatre the longest continuously-running community theatre in Illinois, it is the fourth longest in the nation. During last year’s pandemic, the organization was able to maintain operations by offering a spring season featuring an online streaming production and an in-person cabaret performance. This September, they will open their 103rd season featuring Little Women, The Shawshank Redemption, Guys and Dolls, The SpongeBob Musical, Sweet Charity and the return of Mamma Mia!. In true community spirit, they invite anyone to get involved behind the scenes as well as on stage.
