A tattoo artist in Bartonville, Erik Scot works primarily in painting and drawing. After a four-year stint in the Marine Corps, he began taking art classes at Illinois Central College in 2015 and began his studio practice in 2017. As a member of 22VA, Scot helps other veterans express themselves creatively while raising awareness about veteran suicide. He oversaw the completion of a mural for the Stoney Creek Inn in East Peoria and helped coordinate the infamous “Cookie Monster Mural” in Peoria. Scot is currently working on his BFA at Illinois State University, and was recently accepted to a summer residency at Chateau d'Orquevaux in France.
