On Saturday mornings from May through September, the Peoria RiverFront Market is the place to be. Run by the nonprofit Peoria RiverFront Association, the weekly event features Illinois-grown produce, meats and cheeses; fresh breads, herbs and flowers; local art and performances from local musicians. It’s grown by leaps and bounds over the years—and 2021 may be its biggest year yet. “Peoria has really come out to show their support of our local farmers and businesses,” notes market director Sharon Gramm. “We are thankful to our community for making the conscious choice to shop local.”
