As Peoria’s only outdoor community theatre, Corn Stock Theatre presents five shows under its signature green tent at Bradley Park each summer. Nearby, the Corn Stock Theatre Center houses its Corn Stock For Kids program and the winter season, producing contemporary shows from October through March.
When its summer season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization unveiled Corn Stock Theatre Unmasked, featuring Corn Stock performers in a format similar to The Masked Singer. In each episode, three masked singers compete with a favorite showtune as panelists guess who’s behind the mask. “Theatre brings us together even in times of isolation,” says Nyk Sutter-Downs, theatre manager. “While we’ve had to improvise a bit this year, we are proud to bring innovation to keep our community engaged and entertained. We appreciate the support and can’t wait to see you all again soon.”
