When you visit the newly opened Midwest Orthopaedic Hospital at UnityPoint Health – Proctor, you will experience a state-of-the-art facility designed exclusively for orthopedic patients. The new outpatient facility is a partnership between Midwest Orthopaedic Center and UnityPoint Health, with the goal of providing a more convenient and comfortable experience for people in central Illinois while meeting the growing orthopedic needs of the community.

The hospital is equipped to handle orthopedic surgeries ranging from total joint replacements to sports injuries. “It’s the first of its kind—not just in Peoria, but the central Illinois region,” notes orthopedic surgeon Dr. Nirain D’Souza. “It’s actually a facility designed around the needs of orthopedic patients.”
