An attorney at Heyl, Royster, Voelker and Allen, Wade Blumenshine focuses his practice on civil litigation, with a concentration on commercial litigation, casualty/tort litigation and toxic tort defense. Having started his career as one of the youngest litigators in the area, he now has multiple years of experience and is actively involved in every stage of the process, from case strategy and depositions, to drafting pleadings and motions, to court appearances and trial team work. He has written multiple legal articles and his work has been published in The National Law Review.
As one of the most active young lawyers in central Illinois, Blumenshine has dedicated countless hours to performing and learning his craft. He is a member of the Peoria County Bar Association and has been particularly active in its Young Lawyers Committee, providing input and guidance for many of its outreach programs. Each year he participates in the association’s suit drive, which provides work clothes to clients of Dream Center Peoria. He is a volunteer and runner in the Strides for Justice 5K Run/1 Mile Walk to support Prairie State Legal Services and raise awareness about the importance of affordable legal representation to the underserved in our community. He also participated in the 2019 Prairie State Expungement Seminar, reviewing and preparing documents to help area residents expunge their criminal records so they can qualify for jobs and not be judged on past mistakes.
A strong supporter of St. Jude, Blumenshine helped organize the St. Jude Movie Under the Stars fundraising event in 2017. He also participates in the Beau Knows 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament each year, raising money and awareness for families impacted by suicide through the Beau Knows Foundation. PM
