As manager of agent contracting and commissions at Illinois Mutual Life Insurance Company, Erica Robinson oversees a team responsible for the onboarding of insurance agents—ensuring regulatory requirements are met, contracting with agents, managing commissions schedules, and ensuring commission statements and premiums are reconciled. She earned her Associate Customer Service (ACS) certificate from the Life Office Management Association and is currently working toward the Fellow, Life Insurance Management (FLMI) designation. She is also a member of the Securities & Insurance Licensing Association Carrier Subcommittee and Commissions Subcommittee.
In addition to serving as a grant reviewer for the Heart of Illinois United Way and participating on Illinois Mutual’s United Way campaign committee, Robinson is a self-starter in identifying and addressing needs in the community, with a particular focus on helping young children. She co-founded and runs Level Up, a nonprofit organization which offers positive outlets in the community for underprivileged children. Not only did Level Up provide supplies for the Shaun Livingston back-to-school drive, it organized an additional back-to-school drive to provide school supplies, book bags, school uniforms, haircuts and shoes, and is currently reaching out to schools to support families in need for sponsorship during the holiday season.
In addition, Robinson organized another nonprofit organization, Dream Builders, which provides funding for underprivileged children to participate in programs ranging from junior football to dance classes. She’s a board member and volunteer for Peoria Grown, which works to provide education and access to fresh foods to families in public housing and sponsors healthy cooking classes for adults and children, as well as C.H.A.N.G.E. GMO, a youth mentoring program that helps young girls become leaders. PM
