Christine Deehring is the founder and CEO of Bump Boxes, a monthly subscription service that curates fun and healthy products for pregnancy and beyond. Over the last three years, Bump Boxes has become the worldwide leader in the pregnancy subscription market—with over 500,000 boxes shipped—and one of the fastest growing companies in the Midwest. She is responsible for leading the business forward in its vision and mission, implementing strategic plans, curating beneficial partnerships and running day-to-day operations. She also works directly with Fortune 500 companies to help enhance their maternity and paternity programs.
Deehring and her husband founded Bump Boxes in 2014, shortly after the birth of their first child. A CPA by trade, she worked to build the business while maintaining her full-time accounting position and caring for their newborn. After the launch of their ecommerce site, she quit her job and focused all of her time and effort into growing Bump Boxes.
Beyond the original Bump Boxes concept, Deehring has overseen the launch of a range of related products and brands, including Bitsy Boxes, Glow Organics (skincare line), BumpLife (maternity lifestyle brand), and the HelloMamas and Babyname Matcher apps. Bump Boxes was recently named Small Business of the Year by the Turner Center for Entrepreneurship at Bradley University, while Deehring has been recognized by 25 Women in Leadership and Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneurial Winning Women program, among other honors.
Deehring is also heavily involved in local startup activity. Her work has been featured in a range of regional and national media outlets, and she has been a keynote speaker on entrepreneurship and leadership for multiple events and organizations. She is a member of Impact Central Illinois, a grassroots collective giving organization for women, and ensures Bump Boxes’ charitable involvement, supporting local women’s shelters such as Esther House, as well as food banks and veterans’ services.
