Tony Ingold
Tony Ingold serves as superintendent and chief executive officer of East Peoria Elementary Schools District 86. He is responsible for the development and maintenance of a positive educational program designed to meet the needs of the community. He also supervises 12 district administrators, represents the schools before the public, administers the budget, and supervises the effective execution of all constitutional or statutory laws, state regulations and board policies.
One of Ingold’s top priorities is to help facilitate a district planning process seeking input from various stakeholders within the community, which will assist the district in developing an action plan to serve as a guide for the next three to five years. He currently oversees a significant building project at Central Junior High, striving to bring the addition to completion while maintaining his other duties. Ingold works to maintain and further the academic and financial well-being of the district so it can continue to support students, staff and parents.
When East Peoria Community High School District 309 ended its bussing services to District 86, Ingold enlisted a new bus company and worked with the City of East Peoria to find a place to house the busses for the year. He has also worked closely with State Senator Dave Koehler and Representative Mike Smith to attain funding
for schools.
Ingold serves the community in many other ways. He is on the boards of the Illinois Elementary School Association and the Tazewell-Mason Counties Special Education Association. He is a member of the Illinois Association of School Administrators, East Peoria Rotary Club, East Peoria Census Committee, and the East Peoria Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee. He is a Salvation Army bell ringer and volunteer for Bolin School, Band Boosters, East Peoria Youth Council, East Peoria Festival of Lights and East Peoria City Clean Sweep. He is also a coach for East Peoria girls’ softball and boys’ baseball.
One of the youngest superintendents in the state, Ingold exhibits maturity beyond his years. He treats each person with fairness and respect, giving consideration to his or her concerns, and is fair to all who walk through his doors. iBi
