Reading through the bios of our new class of 40 Leaders Under Forty, one might think they are all work and no play. Nothing could be further from the truth! We asked our 40 Leaders for some fun facts about themselves, and they did not disappoint. Here were some of their responses…

What is something no one in your office knows about you?

• In college, I pursued becoming an FBI agent. –Matt Moehle
• I have shaken hands with four Presidents: Reagan, Bush (41), Bush (43) and then-State Senator Obama. –Leslie Vallar
• I record the Real Housewives series, then tell my husband I’m watching documentaries. That usually works until he hears all of the whining and makes me turn it off. –Jessica Kathleen Young, Esq, CCHP

• I doubt that many of my colleagues know of my true love for the arts, particularly the performing arts. And I’ve just about done it all… sang, danced, acted, painted and played a few musical instruments. What is the number-one item on your bucket list?

• To own a café with a multipurpose event space where I can serve all my unique food creations. –Tamara Rachelle Parker

• Visit Bora Bora and stay in an overwater bungalow. –Kathy Dolan
• I don’t have a bucket list. The idea kind of freaks me out. I don’t want experiences out of fear I am running out of time—I want to take on adventure and challenge because it makes sense for me and those around me. –Ali Sours

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

• An architect. As a kid, I loved to build skyscrapers and draw buildings. Even though I did not pursue that career, I still appreciate skylines and interesting architecture from all over the world. –Steve Klemm
• I wanted to be a Marine and State Trooper, and by the time I was 24, I had done both. –J.W. Price
• A travel agent at Peoria Travel like my mom. She worked with amazing women and saw so much of the world! She, along with her coworkers, erased any notion from my mind that women had a different role in business than men. –Ali Sours
