Dr. Melissa K. Roehm Stigall

Midwest Orthodontic Associates Ltd.

An orthodontist and partner at Midwest Orthodontic Associates, Dr. Melissa K. Roehm Stigall leads a team of 13 employees to provide the highest level of orthodontic care in a kind, compassionate and fun environment. In addition to caring for pediatric and adult patients, she manages the professional treatment team and office clerical staff.

An active leader in the Peoria District Dental Society, Dr. Stigall has held numerous leadership positions with the organization over the last nine years, including her current role as president. Through its Give Kids a Smile program, as well as the Illinois State Dental Society Foundation’s Mission of Mercy initiative, she and her practice provide pro bono treatment to patients in need. Her practice also participates in the Illinois Society of Orthodontists’ Donated Orthodontic Services Program, providing care at a nominal fee to children whose families cannot afford treatment, and provides mouth guards to youth sports teams free of charge.

Motivated by her own child’s journey in overcoming a congenital heart defect, Dr. Stigall is active with Children’s Hospital of Illinois, serving on its Community Advisory Board and raising funds for the Congenital Heart Center. She and her family also volunteer for the Feeding the Hungry program through Neighborhood House, providing Sunday meals to families in need.

Besides providing dental education to area preschools, elementary schools and civic youth groups, Dr. Stigall and her practice frequently engage in community sponsorships for the Congenital Heart Center, Dream Center Peoria, the St. Jude Washington Kids' Run and TOUCH (The Organization for Understanding Children's Hearts).

Having achieved the honor of diplomate with the American Board of Orthodontics in 2011, Dr. Stigall was recently inducted as a Fellow into the International College of Dentists. In her personal time, she enjoys baking, hiking, biking and spending time with family. iBi
