Is Your Make-Up Right For Your Skin Tone?
Every day, women all over the world are getting frustrated with their faces. Not only do they get tired of wearing the same makeup day in and day out, but a lot of women don't even know the benefits makeup can provide for them. How you wear your makeup and the colors you choose can completely change the way you look, so it's important to know what suits you and how to wear it.

The main thing to remember is that there are different skin tones: light, medium-with an exception for olive and ethnic skin-and dark. The rules of thumb for each tone are easy to follow. Light skin tones tend to look better with sheer colors, light earth tones, and pastels. It's easy for light-skinned people to overdo their makeup, so watch out for too much or too dark mascara and lipstick. Generally, keep things light and sheer.

Medium skin tones have a lot more choice when it comes to makeup. Deep earth tones and jewel colors tend to work well when accentuating the eyes, and almost any color from pink to red will look good on the lips. Bronzing makeup looks best on medium skin, as it blends better, and, again, almost any blush will work as long as it matches the rest of the makeup.

For olive and ethnic skin tones, neutral shades look the best on the eyes, but blues and purples also work well. Again, natural colors look best on the cheeks, and lips are brought out in plum-based lip colors. Just watch out for true reds; it can clash with certain skin tones.

Dark skin tones have less of an upper hand when it comes to makeup, but many options still are available. Stick to grays, browns, and natural shades to emphasize the eyes. Shimmer colors in these shades also look great as eye shadows. When using blush, deep rose and apricot shades look best, and even simple bronzers sometimes do the trick. Dark lip colors always look great.

This winter, look beautiful and festive with bronzing and shimmer products. There are quite a few lines of mineral powders out; these go onto the skin well, leave a nice shimmer, and come in a huge variety of colors. They can be used not only as powder, but also as shadows, lip color, body glitter, and even nail polish and hair glitter.

Look and feel great this winter with a new sense of what colors look good on you and how to wear them. TPW
