John Kaiser

RSM US LLP

John Kaiser is an audit partner at RSM US LLP, the fifth-largest U.S. provider of accounting, tax and business consulting services. A member of the firm’s central Illinois executive team, he has more than 16 years of experience serving middle-market businesses. As audit leader for RSM’s four central Illinois offices, he is responsible for all employees in the audit practice, overseeing audit quality, managing client relationships, developing audit budgets and managing their results. He holds numerous other leadership roles within RSM, including recruiting lead and international client and relationship lead.

A key team member in both the Peoria and Chicago offices, Kaiser oversees both regional and international client relationships, keeping Peoria connected to the firm across the globe. He is a passionate mentor to employees and is recognized within RSM for his charitable efforts. He cofounded and helps lead the Birdies Fore Love charitable golf outing, which raised about $80,000 over a three-year period for organizations like St. Jude, CASA and the Children’s Home Association of Central Illinois.

Among his wealth of community involvement, Kaiser is a member of the CEO Council and Rotary Club of Peoria-North and a board member at EP!C. He is a Big Brother with the Heart of Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters, past chair of the organization’s Bowl For Kids’ Sake, and member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago Leadership Board. As a board member and former treasurer of the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association, he created the Linked Fore A Cure golf event, raising $80,000 for the organization. He is also a volunteer for The Myositis Association, board member of the Chadwick Estates Home Owners Association, and former ambassador for the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce.

A major advocate for work-life balance, Kaiser believes in creating a work environment that does not come at the cost of family. With that in mind, he has worked to bring sitters into RSM, allowing employees to bring their children to work on busy days—his four year-old son, Henry, is a regular visitor to the office. iBi
